Evelyn is a minor character in The Owl House who lived during the Deadwardian Era. She found herself in Gravesfield in the 1600s, where she encountered the human brothers, Philip and Caleb Wittebane. Evelyn fell in love with Caleb, married him and had children with him, but their happiness was short-lived as Philip's jealousy led him to attempt to murder Evelyn. Tragically, he killed Caleb instead and never told his daughter at all but she never knew until Hollow Mind (episode).
In her grief, Evelyn tried to drive Philip out of her life, which may explain why Belos later sought to execute Eda in order to eliminate Evelyn's descendant. When Lilith betrayed Belos, he imprisoned her in Eda's cell, as he was aware that the Clawthornes were related to him. Although he had initially planned to spare Lilith, he decided against it due to her connection to Evelyn. The current status of Evelyn remains a mystery, as her past with the Wittebanes continues to cast a shadow over her story and never saved Addy from her evil father later she became evil and cursed.
